Description

This is an image inspired by Roger Zelazny's novel "Lord of Light".
It was entirely created using Zbrush.

By using a hybrid 5D (2D+3D) tool like Zbrush, the borderline between categories (3D, painting, drawing) become very indistinct. This makes it very hard to categorize an image.
I guess, I spend more time modeling, texturing, lighting and rendering this image, than post-painting it. Therefore I submit it into the 3D category (After all, ZBrush is being considered as a 3D tool).

I do not really see the 3D in this,
but this is freakin' awesome! I really really like this setting and especially the very original tilt and perspective.

Stunning piece of art (thumbup) +10

Beautifull! Love the perspective and the and all the details in this! The "sky" is also amazing. gourdeous concept!
I'm with you that this was very hard to categorize, but I think you made a good choice don't for the ones that don't read your description this might look better in painting category
